A modular platform for veterinary operations

Inventory, purchasing, financial workflows, equipment, and reporting belong to the same operation. VetRecon keeps them in modules that can be configured for a single practice or for an organization with several hospitals.

How the work connects

The same operational record, used in more than one place.

A count can inform a reorder. A transfer can appear in a monthly summary. Pharmacy activity and equipment rentals stay beside the inventory they depend on. Dashboards and reports read from the modules that are enabled, so leadership is looking at the same operational record the team already maintains.

Not every module is included for every organization. The descriptions below distinguish what is in use from what applies only in a configured module, and from work that is still in development.

Inventory operations

Inventory work covers the count, the review, and the record that follows. Teams run physical inventory and cycle counts, see stock across the locations configured for their organization, and investigate discrepancies with the transaction history behind them.

Inventory operations are a core module. Location coverage follows the locations configured for the organization.

  • Physical inventory and cycle counting
  • Visibility across configured locations
  • Count investigations and reconciliation
  • Transaction history and import review
  • Inventory valuation and operational count reporting

Purchasing and pharmacy

Purchasing stays tied to the products and suppliers a hospital uses. VetRecon supports reorder management, purchasing methods, supplier setup, and purchase-history review, including ordered and backordered status. Pharmacy activity sits with that work. Where a practice uses Counter Program, a completed count can be reconciled and written back through the supported workflow.

Purchasing and pharmacy workflows are in current use. Counter Program write-back applies only where that practice-system workflow is supported. Reorder suggestions are still in development.

  • Reorder management and reorder status
  • Purchasing methods, suppliers, and product setup
  • Purchase history and unresolved purchase review
  • Pharmacy inventory activity
  • Counter Program reconciliation and automated write-back where supported

Financial workflows

Financial follow-up starts with the movement of inventory: transfers between locations and monthly transfer summaries. Billing summaries and commission-related workflows are available in applicable modules, for the organizations that use them. Reporting draws from those records.

Transfer tracking is part of inventory operations. Billing and commission workflows are included only in the modules configured for an organization. They are not a separate product assumed for every practice.

  • Inventory transfer tracking
  • Monthly transfer summaries
  • Billing summaries in applicable modules
  • Commission and billing workflows where a module includes them
  • Financial and operational reporting from those records

Equipment management

Hospitals that lend or rent equipment can keep a unit inventory, open rental records, and record return inspections and operational follow-up alongside the rest of their operational work.

Equipment management is a configured module. It is not assumed for every organization or location.

  • Equipment inventory
  • Rental records and status
  • Return inspections and operational follow-up

Operational intelligence

Leadership views bring together activity already recorded in VetRecon: dashboard status, pharmacy and operational activity, and reporting for the locations in scope. The picture matches the modules in use.

Dashboard and reporting views follow the modules, locations, and roles an organization has enabled.

  • Organization dashboard
  • Activity metrics and period reporting
  • Management reporting across enabled locations and workflows

Availability depends on the workflows configured for an organization. A conversation is the straightforward way to see what applies to yours.
